If a diagnosis is required referral to specialist should be as soon as is practicable according to clinical concern (e.g. four weeks for a presumed SCC and eight weeks for a presumed BCC).
If the patient is not seen within an appropriate timeframe, the referring practitioner needs to follow this up with the specialist.

The Quick Reference Guides include:
• optimal timeframes within which tests or procedures should be completed
• checklists with indicators related to recommendations in the optimal care pathway
Users can navigate between the Quick Reference Guide and the relevant Cancer types by selecting the icon at the top of the screen:
Select the star icon to the right of every OCP entry to populate your My Favourites list. This creates a bespoke quick view of the sections of the OCPS and QRGs that you want to reference easily.
