Select the Principles of Care Icon to explore the seven key principles that underpin the guidance provided in the pathways: patient-centred care; safe and quality care; multidisciplinary care; supportive care; care coordination; communication; and research and clinical trials.

This tile lets you access then detailed OCPs for different cancers. Select a Cancer Specific OCP from the drop down list:

The Quick Reference Guides (QRG) are for health professionals and health services. They provide a summary of each optimal care pathway for health professionals and patients.

The Quick Reference Guides include:
• optimal timeframes within which tests or procedures should be completed
• checklists with indicators related to recommendations in the optimal care pathway

Users can navigate between the Quick Reference Guide and the relevant Cancer types by selecting the icon at the top of the screen:

Select the star icon to the right of every OCP entry to populate your My Favourites list. This creates a bespoke quick view of the sections of the OCPS and QRGs that you want to reference easily.

Select this icon to view the range of multimedia content associated with the Optimal Care Pathways. This includes expert podcast sessions and videos that can enrich the understanding of the material.

Welcome to the OCP Web App

The Optimal Care Pathways (OCPs) are a framework for the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care for people with cancer. This web app aims to provide easy access to the cancer specific OCPs.

OCPs for different cancers can be found through the Cancer Specific OCP tile.

The Quick Reference Guide (QRF) provides a summary of each cancer’s OCP.
